All the kind words from judges that make me proud of myself and my vids

Collide

Cec: The way you staged that crash scene was awesome! You used a lot of really cool effects in this video! Especially on the transitions. I like that dissolving-looking one a lot! Then that wipe (hue or brightness or something, it looked like) that you used over and over on that one sequence was really cool I loved that! Nice ending!

Kaycee: Lovely work!I liked the effect starting at 40 seconds, and also the saturation transitions. The part that says "I worry I won't see your face" was wonderful! You did a great job incorporating all the memories throughout the video. This was such a sweet, romantic video with some awesome effects and editing!

Cure my tragedy

Cec: I love me some Wesley/Faith, so I'm pumped about this! The AU is great. The scenes are editing together flawlessly. Serious angst, and I'm loving it. I love the story of the video with Faith and Wes each getting over someone else! I'm just impressed over and over by the scene manipulation! You did an amazing job! I love it! I loved the twist of Cordy coming back and Wesley running back to Faith!

Kaycee: Awesome AU! You did so well putting this together. All of the transitions between the scenes looked awesome! The story was very original and you really made the scenes appear convincing. Cool twist at the end!

Mazza: I  loved the whole video from start to finish. It was well constructed, well scripted and thought provoking. Please, please keep up the good work!

Thandie:
Up: you make the best AUs, really. Interesting editing, very good clips choice. You are probably the only one that makes me like the Buffyverse photage. Oh, and very original story, kudos to you!
Down: I noticed a 'lost frame' on 00.57. And there's something similar on 2.57, with one frame of red light on her back, and on the following frame there isn't anymore. And I felt that maybe some times the transiction you use in the first half is not so smooth? But that's personal taste, so don't take it as real criticism.

I'll always remember

Cec: You did a great job finding parallel scenes and then highlighting them with similar editing. I really like the way you use overlays and repeat the same effects for each of the three couples. I love the overlays with that high contrast effect!

Kaycee: That was so sweet! I loved the parts around 50 seconds with the still overlays! The long transitions and smooth editing looked great.  I also loved how you used parallel scenes from each of the couples. Well done!

Patchwork

Mazza: The timing and sequence was superb as was the comparison between each character. It must have taken forever to find the exact moments to compare. I particularly loved Angels ‘I aint getting any older speeches’!

Cec: I love the way you put this video together. First, I love that subtle blurry effect; it's lovely. I like the way you use parallel scenes- between the relationships and between different parts of the same relationship. This is such a complete and honest examination of all the relationships of this show! I really love the sequence with all the hands holding. At 2:26, the part where Xander put his hand over his eye and then the scene fades to him with the bandage over his eye: I got goosebumps. I love the part with Buffy walking in a lonely street, and the part of Spike talking about the Gem of Amara and about his soul.  I just love the range and depths of emotions and events of these shows. This was just a really happy trip down memory lane for me. I love the end with all the waving. Fantastic. Great concept and great execution.

Kaycee: Awesome video! I always enjoy seeing videos with parallel scenes in them, and this was chockfull! The song was an excellent choice for Buffy, too. All the handholding scenes were so sweet! And the whole part with Spike and Harmony was so cool! You did a fabulous job!

Spending my time

Cec: Fantastic lyric matches! I love the part about the coffee. The scene manipulation is really good. It's so easy to suspend belief and forget that they are originally from a totally different story. I love those white fades and the flashbacks!

Kaycee: What a unique concept for a video! I enjoyed watching the story unfold in this AU video. I liked how you had both of their points-of-view for different verses of the song. All the scenes looked just like they belonged together...wonderful video!

The story of Kyle and Tess

Cec: I really like the zooming transitions, and the way you combined scenes from Lost with scenes from Roswell to tell one story. The part from 2:30-2:40: I seriously wouldn't have even known that was scene manipulation if I hadn't seen that episode of Lost! Great job with that!

Kaycee: What a sweet video! I liked how you showed both Kyle and Tess's feelings about their lives. The clips moved very smoothly together. I loved the amount of emotion you conveyed through the clips and song choice. Nice work on using a variety of scenes and keeping everything edited so well!

'Til we meet again

LadyMajaVader: You used the original source material to tell a completely different, original AU story and did so fantastically! The clips are perfectly matched in terms of colouring and internal motion; the effects add to it a lot, for example the parallels and sepia sequences are a great device to show the similarities between the two women. The story is clear and easy to follow, and last but not least - completely enchanting. You make the viewers completely forget what the orignal movies were about and follow your vid - and that is a great feat of vid storytelling!

Turn back time

Cec: Wonderful blending and manipulation of scenes! All the scenes are perfect choices, too. The move well with the story, and all those scenes in the Bronze are a perfect match for the electronic beats of the music! I love LOVE the sequence of the video that's in sepia toning! I love those black and white flashbacks that pop up in the middle of a color scene of them doing basically the same thing. Wonderful ending!

Kaycee: This video had such a unique premise...I loved the AU you came up with! I thought it was cool how you used the Halloween scenes to look like she was in the past. The parts toward the end with the black and white scenes smoothed into the sepia-toned scenes was a great idea!
